Anger is a complicated emotion that can be problematic if not managed effectively, and domestic violence is a cycle of shame that most people wish to escape.

This anger management class focuses on understanding:

  • the brain-based biology behind anger
  • thoughts and awareness
  • feelings, triggers, and reactions
  • communication and conflict styles
  • domestic violence and shame
  • 20+ healthy coping mechanisms

Anger Management 101

Class Details

  • The class is held one week each month from 6-8 p.m. (CST) on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday — six hours are live, two hours are independent work on your own time.
  • You can participate on a computer or phone from anywhere with internet access.
  • You need to download Zoom (free) from a link sent to you. All you have to do is click the link.
  • Attendance is monitored by showing your face during the entire class.
  • The fee is $200 paid by credit card, Venmo, Apple Pay, or Cash App.
  • Veterans, people on SSI disability, referrals from probation/parole/public defenders qualify for a 50% discount. Referrals from other social service agencies may qualify.
  • After the class, you are emailed a certificate of completion.

Brian Vega is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is National Board Certified and certificated in Civil and Family Mediation. He has also been an instructor for the Missouri State University graduate-level counseling program. Brian has facilitated many different types of groups for adults and teens. He has owned a private practice office since 2005 where he does individual and couples therapy. He also helps people needing letters for an emotional support animal.
